  • Smart Choices, Healthy Futures Workshop with Nigel Wrangham

    RSVP NOW

National leadership expert, Nigel Wrangham, to engage 6th and 7th graders on Saturday, March 16

Your child and their friends will face many challenges as they go through middle school and transition to high school. Given today’s world, some of these challenges may relate to marijuana, alcohol and other drugs. Are they ready?Good news. Research shows that skills in anxiety reduction, social problem solving, relationships, communications and goal setting are effective in building resistance. Designed around some of these skills, this interactive workshop features presentations, exercises and discussions to support your child’s smart choices.
Your child will have fun! The workshop is lead by Nigel Wrangham, a national trainer in youth engagement, prevention and leadership. Nigel works with groups of young people to help them influence policy, advocate for social change and summon the courage to act consciously from their core principles. He is known for his ability to generate engagement at every level.
The workshop is for 6th and 7th graders.
Parent/guardian must complete and sign a permission form when they sign their child in that morning. No student will be allowed to participate without this signed form. You are required to personally sign your child out at 3:30 p.m.
Breakfast, lunch and snack provided. All participants receive a giveaway at the end of the day and are eligible for door prizes.
$5 with some scholarships. Capacity is limited. Registration is on a first come, first served basis. We request parents who RSVP be committed to having their child show up and attend.
